Preparing for Returning to School

  • Templeton Families,

We hope this message finds you safe, well and confident that your child is going to have an extremely positive experience this year at Templeton! We loved having so many families in the building during Back to School Night. Seeing so many happy and excited faces just added to our motivation in making this school year the best one yet!

I want to give a big shout out to the leader of our TSO, Tracey Naegle and all of our volunteers in the TSO for their support and generosity. Tracey personally brought our staff lunch during inservice week and through her leadership on the TSO helped to ensure that our teachers have the resources they need to best serve our students this year. There are a number of opportunities to be involved as a volunteer. If you’re interested, reach out. We’d love to have you!

The best part about this week is that we spent it preparing for what we expect to be a normal school year. When I say normal, I’m talking about having the ability to focus on all the best parts of school. This includes really important things like teaching reading and math, but also and equally important, the relationships our students will build with their classmates and their teachers. This will only help us build a connection to school and increase student learning. Templeton is a place that everyone should feel welcome and we want to partner with all of you to make sure that’s so.

I have felt very welcomed as I start my first year here as your principal. I couldn’t be more grateful or excited to join you in helping to strengthen our school community. That focus on growth and improvement is exactly what all of our students deserve.

Please reach out to me if you feel like I can support you in any way. Let’s have a great year!

    Sincerely,
